Tree Planting Program
The purpose of the Tree Planting Program is to plant shade trees on private property where they have the greatest chance for survival and long-term contribution to the community. The project requires that all trees must be planted within 25 feet of the public right-of-way (i.e. behind the street or sidewalk, etc.) Please see the links below for more information and eligibility.
Please read all the forms completely before submitting them.
Tree Permits
Per Town Ordinance: A written non-fee permit shall be required for planting, spraying, pruning, removing, cutting or otherwise disturbing any street tree. Each permit shall be granted to a date certain and, for planting, shall include consideration of the appropriateness of the species, location, size, location of overhead and underground facilities, location of sidewalks, curb-cuts and street signs and public safety.
