The Market at Gansett Rail dba Boon Street Market public hearing that is scheduled for July 21, 2025 is being rescheduled at the July 21, 2025 meeting.
On April 7, 2025 the Town Council held a public hearing for a 4 month review of the alcohol beverage license for The Market at Gansett Rail, LLC dba Boon Street Market that was granted on December 2, 2024 with restrictions. During the public hearing owner, Lindsay Holmes, informed the Council of the steps that have been initiated to rectify the noise issues that had been brought up at the December 2024 public hearing. Several neighbors of the business were sworn in and testified regarding the noise concerns. The Council discussed holding another public hearing during the summer months when the business would be in it's busy season to review how things were going and if any progress had been made with the sound baffling. A follow up public hearing was scheduled for July 21, 2025. Written requests were submitted by interested parties to reschedule this public hearing to a later date.
