The Camp at Narragansett, located at 170 Clarke Road, is a summer favorite for girls and boys, ages groups 5-8 & 9-12 years old. The camp offers a summer full of activities including sports, games, arts & crafts, and weekly field trips which include trips to the Town Beach. All 5 year olds must have completed kindergarten. Registration will begin May 1st. Birth Certificate required at the time of registration. Full payment due at registration in the Recreation Office prior to session. Sign up early, there is limited space in each age group. Field trips (subject to change) include Paw Sox game, Spring Lake, Water Wiz Cape Cod, Southwick's Zoo, Launch, Adventureland, Lazer Gate, Providence Children's Museum, Rock Spot & Mystic Aquarium.

The Junior Lifeguard Program teaches basic lifesaving techniques and water safety. Instructor: Narragansett Beach Lifeguards. Each participant gets a t-shirt & certificate. Classes meet at CHAIR 2.

Designed to teach kids all aspects of tennis. Kids will play match play each day as well as drills to improve on skills. 4/5 per court - multiple instructors. **Every effort will be made to makeup classes canceled by bad weather.

Nick the Towers guide has left the building and jumped on a trolley to provide a rolling narrative of historic Narragansett. The roughly two-hour tour departs and returns to The Towers. Reservations are accepted.

The Narragansett Historical Society is pleased to announce this popular 40-minute presentation, followed by a walking tour of the area, both by our Consulting Historian, Professor Wayne Durfee. These programs are free of charge and are hosted by the University of Rhode Island Office of Marine Programs, and will begin in the URI Coastal Institute Building, 218 South Ferry Road, Narragansett.
We are also pleased to announce the donation of a large oil painting of the South Ferry area ca. 1850, to the Narragansett Historical Society. The painting is by artist Gertrude B. George, painted in the 1960’s, and donated to us by Dorothy Sampaio.
Directions and parking: Take South Ferry Road toward the URI Bay Campus, left onto Tarzwell Road (parking lot is quickly to the right, just before the Coastal Institute building.)
