Narragansett is pleased to announce our Spring Collection Event. On Saturday, May 2nd, from 8:00 am-1:00 pm bring your hazardous and electronic waste, sensitive documents for shredding, scrap metal and donations for Goodwill to the North Lot of Narragansett Town Beach, located at 77 Boston Neck Rd.
Rhode Island Resource Recovery Corporation’s free Eco-Depot Collection accepts household hazardous waste items including oil based paint, rechargeable and automotive batteries, mercury containing devices (thermometers, thermostats, fluorescent bulbs), fertilizers, pool chemicals, automotive fluids, propane tanks, oven cleaner, bug spray, flea collars, nail polish, nail polish remover, etc. For more information on the Eco-Depot program and the items accepted go to www.rirrc.org/ecodepot. In addition, electronic waste will also be collected by Office Recycling Solutions. Acceptable items include televisions, computers and peripherals including monitors, modems, keyboards and printers.
ShredFastRI will be present to shred your sensitive documents (4 box limit), Exeter Scrap Metal will collect metal items and non-freon appliances and Goodwill Industries will be happy to accept clothing, textiles and small household appliances.
