The Rhode Island Department of Health as announced that seasonal flu has become widespread throughout Rhode Island and the H1N1 influenza strain is being seen in an overwhelming number of hospital visits.
In an attempt to slow this spread and prevent additional hospitalizations, Narragansett will hold a vaccination clinic on Monday, January 27th from 5-8pm at the Narragansett Community Center, 53 Mumford Rd.
Everyone aged 6 months and older not already immunized against the flu should receive a seasonal flu vaccine. Seasonal flu vaccine offers protections against the H1N1 strain and additional vaccinations are not necessary.
