It’s spring cleaning time! We all have hazardous waste lurking in our homes – oil based paint, rechargeable and automotive batteries, mercury containing devices (thermometers, thermostats, fluorescent bulbs), fertilizer, pool chemicals, automotive fluids, propane tanks, oven cleaner, window cleaner, flea collars, nail polish, nail polish remover, etc.
Narragansett is pleased to offer you an opportunity to dispose of your household hazardous waste safely and properly. In addition, electronic waste will also be collected. Acceptable items include televisions, computers and peripherals including monitors, modems, laptops, keyboards and printers.
On Saturday, May 4th, the Town of Narragansett will host the Rhode Island Resource Recovery Corporation for a free Eco-Depot Collection at the North Lot of Narragansett Beach, located at 77 Boston Neck Road, from 8:00 am - 1:00 pm. Take advantage of this event to get rid of any hazardous waste and e-waste you may have in your home. It's fast, free and easy with no appointment necessary.
