To date, we have held two public workshops (September 13 and January 24), interviewed Town Staff, and met with the local boards and commissions. We also released a draft Baseline Report that summarizes the current conditions of the Town's neighborhoods, businesses, parks, open space and natural resources, historic and cultural assets, and public services and facilities. Through these activities and the website, we have collected a lot of feedback on formative issues important to residents, businesses, and property owners. The process is now moving into the next phase: crafting policies to address the issues.
In the coming months, the Town of Narragansett will be holding a series of working sessions with its Planning Board. The purpose of these sessions is to review issues and develop policies, one topic at a time. The schedule of workshops is as follows:
April 30, 2013
Topics: Community Services/Facilities, Energy, and Natural Hazards
May 28, 2013
Topic: Transportation/Circulation
June 25, 2013
Topic: Land Use
These sessions will be held in the Town Council Chambers and will start at 6:00PM.
We hope you will be able to join us. If you have any questions, please contact me at mdeluca@narragansettri.gov, or Krista Moravec, Project Consultant, at kmoravec@horsleywitten.com.
