[ARCHIVED] Hurricane Sandy Preparedness

Emergency Shelter -
The site for the emergency shelter has moved to the South Kingstown High School at 215 Columbia Street in Wakefield. An announcement will be made via local media, town Website and through the everbridge community notification system regarding the opening should it be necessary. Please do not arrive until an official announcement has been made regarding its opening.

Possible Evacuations -
Should the storm surge or flood warnings warrant, evacuations of low lying areas of town may be ordered by town officials. You will know if your house or business is in the evacuation area by checking the flood zone map available on our website or at the Police & Fire Department Stations. If you cannot tell from the map or are questioning the need to evacuate we recommend you EVACUATE ANYWAY!!
