Our Mission

The Narragansett Prevention Partnership creates a healthy and safe environment by implementing and supporting prevention strategies for the Narragansett community. The Narragansett Prevention Partnership will include representation from a broad base of constituencies and partners in prevention and will create an infrastructure in which its strategies are embedded in the community.

Our work



The Narragansett Prevention Partnership is the substance abuse prevention coalition in Narragansett. The core membership is made up of school administration, police officers, parents, local like-minded agencies and businesses. 

NPP conducts needs assessments within the community to target the prevention strategies that will have the biggest impact.  We address underage drinking, tobacco use, marijuana and other illicit drugs as well as the misuse of prescription drugs.  We provide information, conduct trainings, support our schools and law enforcement and collaborate with other community partners to reduce the negative consequences of illicit drugs and underage drinking.   

We usually have at least 20 members present at the monthly meetings.
