Finance Committee

The Finance Committee is a Town advisory body appointed to provide a level of transparency and provide advice to the Town Council relating to the Town's finances. The misssion of the Finance Committee is not to replace the Town Council's fiduciary responsibilities and the legislative oversight of the Town's finances and budget but to assist in ensuring the Town's compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.


The Finance Committee is comprised of five (5) members serving staggered 4-year terms and one (1) alternate member serving a 2-year term. Qualifications for membership to the Finance Committee include an understanding of financial statements and general business knowledge with at least one (1) member having a professional background in accounting.
