The Camp at Narragansett, located at 170 Clarke Road, is a summer favorite for girls and boys, ages groups 5-8 & 9-12 years old. The camp offers a summer full of activities including sports, games, arts & crafts, and weekly field trips which include trips to the Town Beach. All 5 year olds must have completed kindergarten. Registration will begin May 1st. Birth Certificate required at the time of registration. Full payment due at registration in the Recreation Office prior to session. Sign up early, there is limited space in each age group. Field trips (subject to change) include Paw Sox game, Spring Lake, Water Wiz Cape Cod, Southwick's Zoo, Launch, Adventureland, Lazer Gate, Providence Children's Museum, Rock Spot & Mystic Aquarium.

URI's Jazz Band will be performing the week of August 1st - 4th in honor of the University of Rhode Island's 125th Anniversary. This talented group of musicians will spend a week performing Community concerts throughout Rhode Island before the URI Big Band ends the week at the world-renowned Newport Jazz Festival on Sunday, August 6th. Don't miss this chance to experience great jazz in your own neighborhood.

Featuring "The Zookeepers Wife" (PG 13, 2017, 126 min.) The real-life story of one working wife and mother who became a hero to hundreds during World War II. In 1939 Poland, Antonina Zabinski and her husband, Dr. Jan Zabinski, have the Warsaw Zoo flourishing under his stewardship and her care. When the Germans invade their country, they are forced to report to the Reich's newly appointed chief zoologist, Lutz Heck. To fight back on their own terms, Antonina and Jan covertly begin working with the Resistance.
